About

Ronquille Rescues knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.

My husband and I have been rescuing animals for many years, LOTS of cats, dogs, and even rabbits, and birds. We have been doing this on our own, without any help or funding, but it is getting hard on us, because we help so many animals. We live out on a country road, where animals are continuously dumped off, and we cannot let them fend for themselves or die, so we take them in, vet them, get them spayed/neutered and vaccinated, then we try and re-home them to good homes, but if we can't find them homes, then we keep them. We are running low on space, money, food, and supplies. Right now, we are housing 30 cats and 7 dogs. We will update those numbers once they change. We would love to expand and help more. If we could get some funding (grants and donations in the form of money, food, and supplies), we could definitely do more. We spent around $20,000 last year just on vet bills, food, and supplies. Our total annual household income is around $60,000, so that is roughly 1/3 of our total income. Our dream is actually to open a large no-kill shelter, but we would need major funding for that, maybe even have to win the lottery. :)

Our veterinarian's office suggested that we apply for 501c3 status, since we rescue so many, so we did. We are now an incorporated nonprofit organization in the state of Louisiana, called Ronquille Rescues. We have applied to the IRS for 501c3 approval, and we are now APPROVED! We received our approval letter on 2/22/20 and it is retroactively effective 5/15/19. We have several cats and dogs that are in need of vet treatment, so we need some financial assistance asap, so we can help them. If anyone out there would like to donate, you may do so on this page, by clicking the DONATE button on the top right of this page. We also are in desperate need of dry cat food, wet cat food, Tidy Cats litter, dry dog food, puppy pads, supplies to build better shelter for the dogs, etc. Thank you in advance for your help! :)

WE HOPE TO HELP MANY MORE FUR BABIES IN NEED!

***UPDATE 6/2020***

We now have 10 rescued kittens, about 8 weeks old, who desperately need homes. Will post pics asap.

Please help if you can. Adopt or donate.

Thanks!!!

What We Do

WE ARE NOW 501C3 APPROVED RETROACTIVELY EFFECTIVE 5/15/19!!! :)

Ronquille Rescues is in the business of helping to make sure all animals matter. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing services to abandoned and unwanted pets. Our goal is to help create a world where all animals are treated with compassion. We also help with overpopulation by spaying/neutering rescued pets, and help with TNR services. We would love to help end euthanasia all together every where!

ANIMAL RESCUE

Animal rescue is our passion. We have helped hundreds of animals over the past several years, by taking them in off the street or from the euthanasia line at the local shelter. We vet them, get them spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. We then re-home to loving families or foster or adopt them into our home. We provide shelter, food, supplies, medications, vet care, and most importantly.....LOVE.

VET SERVICES

We take the animals to our local vet for spays/neuters, vaccines, flea & heart worm prevention, and other needed care and surgery. We have also taken them to specialist vets in other cities and states for specific surgeries or treatments not provided by our local vet.

PROVIDE SHELTER, FOOD, AND LOVE

We provide shelter for all the animals we house, plenty of food, medications, and any other needed supplies. The main thing they need that we provide for them is love and affection. :)
